The Vermont Chapter of the Association of Psychological Type
International is an association of individuals committed to
improve interpersonal communication and organizational effectiveness
through the understanding and application of psychological
type.
We approach our mission through activities designed
to:
- Provide a regular forum for members to explore type theory
and share experiences and research among a network of friends
and professionals
- Promote appropriate and ethical use of psychological type
instruments
- Foster study and understanding
- Enhance skills for the application of psychological type
in teaching, counseling, training, and coaching
"Classification does not explain the individual
psyche. Nevertheless, an understanding of psychological types
opens the way to a better understanding of human psychology
in general." - Carl Jung

What
People are Saying About Vermont APT:
Learning about type and the MBTI(r) has been an amazing learning
experience for me. It has enabled me to understand some very
fundamental differences between people that explain why they
react to the same situations in such a variety of ways.
-Kathy McNames, Co-founder of Yoga Vermont
Though my interest in type has spanned three states
and twenty years, the unique experience that VT-APT has offered
me has been worth all that came before, and more. What I am
learning has aided my personal and professional development
in ways and at a depth that I never expected.
-Pamela K. Gardner, Director of Career Services,
The University of Vermont
The Vermont chapter of the Association of Psychological
Type International, is a center for advanced thinking in the
MBTI(r) community. VT-APT attracts leading experts to present
and attend workshops. These events are aimed at expanding,
not only our individual understanding, but the field of knowledge
itself.
-Katharine Myers, Co-guardian of the MBTI Tool(r)
